Hi friends!!

Amy and I have been contacting our hosts and they are pretty awesome! We are so excited for this Summer!

Mattresses will be provided for us, so unless you really need that extra cushion you can leave the sleeping pad at home. (yay for one thing less to pack).  You will also want to bring a mess kit. They recommend bringing a laptop and camera. Also you will want to bring anti-itch cream just in case you get bit by some misquitos. 

These things you can bring or you can buy in Nicaragua:

a mini first aid kit, insect repellent,  shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. fold up umbrella, shoes for wet/muddy weather, a skirt/top for church, shorts, jeans. 

Now some of this stuff we can share like anti-itch cream and insect repellent, so if you've already bought it bring it, but if not we can share, and if we run out, it's a good thing we know we can get it in country! :-)

They have also asked if we could bring:

Christian crafts to do with the kids, long balloons for twisting into shapes, items for prizes (VBS/Sunday school),  children's books & coloring books in Spanish if possible, nail polish, baseballs, mits, bats, other sports items or whatever else you think children and youth might enjoy.

If you have any of this stuff and you would like to give it to the ministry PLEASE bring it. However, don't feel obligated to go out and buy anything else. 

Some of you may have an opportunity to preach, sing, or dance in church; so if you think you might want to or would be ask to do so bring anything that will help you do that whether it's sheet music or ballet slippers.

If any of you have a guitar that you don't play anymore or know of someone who isn't using a guitar they would be really appreciative of having one donated to the music school- or any other musical instruments that aren't being used.
