Hello! My name is Alicia Roth, but I also go by Ali. I was born in Texas but I grew up in a small town in Nebraska. I am 19 years old and I am currently a sophomore at Grace University in Omaha Nebraska. Grace University is a small Christian college and I am double majoring in Bible Studies andย Psychology with an emphasis in ministry. I hope to be a Christian counselor in a hospital and someday a prison. I really enjoy Grace a lot and I am really looking forward to next year. Especially since I get to serve on leadership and be in charge of world outreach. It's just amazing to see how God laid everthing out in receiving this leadership position and being able to go on this mission trip because they really go hand in hand. I have never been on a mission trip before so it is kind of nerve racking to go on one when I do not know anyone and to be gone for 2 months. Honestly, I have never been away from my family for that long before because Grace is only a little more than an hour away and so I typically go home every other weekend or so. Regardless, I am very excited and God has given me such a peace about going. I know this is what He wants me to do because of how He worked it all out and removed all obstacles, or at least helped me through them without defeat. I am really looking forward to meeting everyone on the trip and to get to spend a majority of the summer with you! I am also very excited to see how God moves and what He has in store for us in Nicaragua!
Here are just a few random facts about myself. I love coffee and I greatly dislike artificially flavored watermelon. I have a passion for art and music. So in my down time when I am not working on homework or spending time with family and friends, I like to draw and make things. As far as music, I am not specialized in playing any instrument but I thoroughly enjoy listening to music. Music is definitely may favorite way to worship and I am constantly learning and being challenged through it. I would have to say that my life verse that keeps me truckin' along is Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
