Hey All!

I'm Catherine.  I'm 19 years old, have six younger siblings (5 of which are adopted) and I live in a little town in Washington state just south of the Canadian border called Ferndale.  Right now I'm not attending school, but I work as a Nursing Assistant in a local Christian nursing home and absolutly love it!  My heart has always been to help and serve those who can't help themselves, and God has given me an amazing opportunity through my job to encourage and assist the people who have worked yard and are now nearing that time when God calls them home.

During my freetime, I love to take walks, no matter the weather, read, write, play games, and just hang out with my family and friends.  I also somehow end up watching a lot of TV, which is pretty amazing considering how much of a time-eater I consider it, but I love the show Monk and a lot of the older shows like Remington Steel, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Diagnosis Murder, Murder She Wrote, etc.  As you can tell, I really go for the mystery/crime shows.  Oh, and I love instrumental music!  Not so much the classical types, though I do listen to those occaisionally, but I really enjoy listening to soundtracks. 

This will be my first official missions trip, and I'm really looking forward to it!  I know that God is going to be doing amazing things through this time, and I absolutly can't wait to see what they are.  Getting out of my comfort zone and away from all the distractions that eat at my time is going to do a lot in strengthening my relationship and trust with Christ. 

I'm looking forward to meeting you all in person at the training camp and getting to know you through our work on the trip!
