Hello fellow teammates!

My name is Amanda Williams. I am 21 years old. I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado which is just an hour south of Denver. Currently, I am attending the University of Northern Colorado in Greely which is just an hour north of Denver. I am studying to be a Math teacher (is ok if you are saying eww right now) and will graduate next year. I work on my schools camps at the library where I get to scan old books that no one ever checks out. Haha! I also am a part of a Christian group on campus called the Navigators.

While I am not consumed with school I like to do many things. I like to do creative things such as paint, knit, and crochet. Now, I am not saying that I am good at any of those things, but I do think they are fun. I also like to be spontaneous! I have also come to the conclusion that laughter the pretty much the key to my soul (not really). On a more serious note I LOVE spending quality time with friends and family. Quality and intentional time with people is what I really do most of when I am not in school mode.

I have been on other mission trips in my past, but I can tell you know nothing will compare to the adventure that is in store for us in the months to come. I have been to Mexico twice and Africa one. I loved all of them! And I know that I left a piece of my heart in Africa when I was there and I cannot wait for another opportunity to go back there! I am hoping to have the same thing happen to me while we are in Nicaragua.

I am so excited to be going to Nicaragua. I am excited for this new adventure and have an opportunity to show God’s Love to all the children and families there.
