Hey Team Nicaragua!

I have great news! I have a bit more information about what your time in Nicaragua will look like this summer.

As you all know, you will be split into two teams. What you might not know though, is that you’ll be working in the same city, Jinotepe, with the same ministry host! The teams will be housed at two separate locations but there will be times where your two teams may work together and other times you will not.

Your ministry hosts are Glenn and Lynne Schweitzer. They are an amazing couple who have a real heart for the people (especially the youth) of Nicaragua. They have a tentmaking business in Jinotepe that is typically used to house visiting missions teams.  They have created a whole ministry compoundin the neighboring slum community that focuses on the families who call the local dump home. The compound now houses a pastor and youth leader. It leads a growing preschool program, feeding program, and continuous outreach efforts. They have recently built a new Youth Center called New Life where one teamwill be staying. The other team will stay at their other center called La Quinta Esperanza.

You guys will be preaching, evangelizing, some service projects and construction, and makingvisits to the Senior Center, Rehab Center, and local hospitals.You’ll be ministering to people at the centers, as well as others who live in the dumps and in surrounding villages. Get excited!
