Hey everyone,

  My name is Annie, I don't really have any nicknames. I am from Saint Paul, MN. I am currently attending the University of Minnesota, its my 4 year but I am not graduating this year. I am going for Family Social Science with a Family Violence Prevention minor. I think plan on going to graduate school and get my Masters in Social Work. My goal is to work with children and family who have experienced trauma.

  I currently work at Lunds, it's a grocery store, as a cashier and deli worker. I have been there for over 5 years and work almost 35 hours a week. which is crazy! But it's a good job. I live in an apartment with one roommate. We have lived together for almost two years, and it's been good but in order to save money for graduate school I will be moving back to my parents house after the summer. My parents also own an assisted living home for senior citizens, and I sometimes work the over night shift there. But I love just going over and talking with the residents, they have amazing stories and I love just listening to them. 

  I play the piano, and have since I was 6. I don't currently take lessons, with school and work I don't have very much time but I play for fun when I get the chance. I used to help out with my churchs junior high youth program as a small group leader for the 8th grade girls and as part of the worship team - singing and playing the keyboard. I played lacrosse in high school, I wasn't very good, but I enjoyed it all the same. I also love to run when I have some downtime.

  Some of my likes and dislikes. I don't like seafood. I love junior high kids, which I know is crazy but I just love them! I love tattoos - I have one on my foot and my wrist, but I don't think that will be the only one's I will get.

  I have been on many missions trips from Guatemala to Duluth MN, both as a leader and as a student. The longest one was 10 days so this trip will be very different but I am very excited.

 I have been wanting to go and help somewhere for an extended period of time, and so I just searched for college aged missions trips and found this organization. I believe that God led me to this, and I am very excited to see how He works through us this summer. I know He has amazing plans in store for us, and I am excited to experience Him in a new way.
