Hi my wonderful team mates! I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself. I'm your other leader, Karina! Right now I am on the World Race- Human trafficking edition. It has been life changing and is wrecking my life (in a good way).
So some things about me...
I was born in Mexico City, Mexico but raised in Birmingham, AL. I went to college in California- Loved it! I majored in Business Administration and minored in Global Studies. It was in college that my heart broke for the nations and even more specifically for victims of human trafficking. While I was in school I was fortunate to do ministry in Honduras, Thailand, Turkey and I co-led a trip to Hawaii. (yes we need missionaries here to).
I am 24 years old, I'll actually turn the BIG 25 in Nicaragua...yikes!
I love to read! Francine Rivers is a fav, I've read almost all her books. I also loved Crazy Love- by Francis Chan, Radical-by David Platt, The Hole in the Gospel-by Richard Sterns, and of course The Chronicles of Narnia.. :-) There's so many more, but I can't think of them right now...
Before the race I was a manager at a movie theatre... and after the race I'll be hanging out with you guys!
This Summer is going to be awesome! It's going to be life changing! You are going to come home a different person. If you have any questions just let me know! If it takes me a while to get back to you, don't take it personally, I won't be "home" until the 18th. One thing that I've learned is that "home" is so relative.
I really am so excited to meet you all, and I am praying for you all! See you in a few weeks! W00t!
